Day 7: Anchored for the Year Ahead
Scripture“For a child is born to us… and He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
Reflection: Every life has purpose. You were created intentionally, on purpose for a purpose, seen and loved by God before you were born. Your days matter. Your story matters. Psalm 139:13-18 “For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand- when I awake, I am still with you.”
The hope we carry into this year is rooted in Christ. He is our peace. Our counselor. Our everlasting Father. His promises are unchanging, and His presence is constant.
The things of this world are temporary. But the hope we have in Christ is eternal. Every day, we have access to Him. Every day, we are invited to live anchored, confident, and secure.
As you move forward into this year, may your heart remain tethered to the hope that does not fade.
Reflect: What truth do you want to carry with you this year?
How does knowing your purpose change how you move forward?
What does it look like to stay anchored daily?
Prayer
Father, I choose enter this year anchored in You. Thank You for Your peace, Your presence, and Your unchanging love. Lead me forward with confident hope. Help me to truly know your love for me, your peace, and your joy. Help me to keep my eyes focused on you alone. In Jesus name, Amen.
